Entre las  terribles imágenes del rastro de muerte y de sangre que el último atentado islamista dejó, el pasado viernes, en las calles de Estocolmo podía verse a un perro que yacía muerto con sus entrañas sobre la acera.

Se trata de Iggy, un perro de rescate de la Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary de Dublín que también fue arroyado por la criminal embestida del terrorista yihadista. El animal había llegado a Suecia, desde Irlanda,  en 2012 tras haber sido adoptado.

La brutalidad intrínseca al terrorismo islamista no distingue, en su sed de sangre, de animales, mujeres, niños o ancianos. Una auténtica lacra que trae a las calles de las ciudades de Europa los escenarios dantescos a los que el yihadismo ha llevado, entre otros países, a Siria o Irak.

El respeto a la dignidad de las víctimas, personas o animales, debería ser un principio fundamental de la ética periodística. Sin embargo, el celo con el que se ha pretendido salvaguardar a las redes de las tristes imágenes de Iggy muerto no se tiene con otras víctimas.

Se censuran las imágenes de los muertos que el terrorismo islamista está dejando en Europa. Pero las escenas de un, aún no aclarado, ataque químico, en las que se pueden observar bebés muertos, son difundidas mundialmente para justificar la agresión norteamericana a un país soberano.

Desde las instituciones, se insta a la ciudadanía a que borre las imágenes captadas con sus teléfonos móviles de atentados terroristas islamistas. Pero a nuestros niños y jóvenes se les obliga a ver, en colegios e institutos, imágenes en blanco y negro –con un desgarrador violín de fondo- que parecen sustentar una verdad histórica impuesta y salvaguardada penalmente.

Lamentablemente, y conforme los atentados yihadistas se generalizan en Europa, las personas y los animales no son únicamente las víctimas de la barbarie islamista. También –con cada atropello masivo, con cada bomba, con cada tiroteo- la verdad es una víctima.

Among the terrible images of the death and bloodshed that the last Islamist attack left, last Friday, in the streets of Stockholm could be seen a dog that lay dead with its bowels on the sidewalk.

This is Iggy, a rescue dog from the Dogs Aid Animal Sanctuary in Dublin who was also thrown by the criminal attack of the jihadist terrorist. The animal had arrived in Sweden from Ireland in 2012 after being adopted.

The brutality intrinsic to Islamist terrorism does not distinguish, in its thirst for blood, animals, women, children or the elderly. A real scourge that brings to the streets of the cities of Europe the Dantean scenarios to which jihadism has led, among other countries, Syria or Iraq.

Respect for the dignity of victims, people or animals, should be a fundamental principle of journalistic ethics. However, the zeal with which it was intended to safeguard the networks of the sad images of Iggy dead is not with other victims.

The images of the dead that Islamist terrorism is leaving in Europe are censored. But the scenes of a still-unclear chemical attack in which dead babies can be seen are spread worldwide to justify American aggression against a sovereign country.

From the institutions, the citizens are urged to erase the images taken with their mobile phones of terrorist terrorist attacks. But our children and young people are forced to see in schools and institutes black-and-white images – with a heartbreaking violin – that seem to support a historical truth imposed and safeguarded criminally.

Unfortunately, as jihadist attacks are widespread in Europe, people and animals are not the only victims of Islamist barbarism. Also – with every mass outrage, with each bomb, with each shooting – the truth is a victim.
